Wikipedia on the D2

I thought it would be awesome to have a portable Wikipedia on my Cowon D2 (it is an MP3 player with a display), so I programmed one!

As the full Wikipedia is a bit too big (i think it has over 7 GB on text files alone), I found a subset of articles at the SOS Wikipedia for Schools project, with about 4500 articles.

• Full text of 4500 selected wikipedia articles.
• About 35000 images (thats more than 7 images per article in average)!
• Full utf8 support (i.e., chinese symbols and stuff).
• Searchable index (display while you type).
• Navigation features: forward/backward, top, random, next image
• No table support (so some parts might look a bit strange)
• Working hyperlinks to other articles

Instructions: Unzip full version on your D2, unzip patch and replace original files.

When you start wikid2 (choose touchpad), it'll load the index. Click on blueish hyperlinks to follow them. Scroll by clicking somewhere on the screen, the lower you click the faster it scrolls.
